With the increasingly extensive application of Chinese medicine around the world and the growth of the Chinese medicine industry, problems with quality and resources have become issues of global concern. To promote the worldwide development of traditional Chinese medicine authentication, the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies(WFCMS) Specialty Committee of TCM Pharmacognosy is pleased to hold its 2018 annual meeting in San Francisco on August 2-5, 2018.
In recent years San Francisco has been the site of remarkable developments in the standardization of traditional Chinese medicine and the establishment of academic teams of Chinese medicine practitioners. It is here that the Chinese Herb Trade Association of America developed and conducts Chinese herbal dispensary technician training courses; and here where the U.S. branch of the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine established its first overseas four-year Chinese medicine bachelor program, with the inaugural class graduating in 2018. Also, it was in San Francisco that the WFCMS formally founded its “Chinese medicine Professionals U.S. training base” to promote overseas development and standardization of Chinese medicine and industry.
We expect that this environment will provide many opportunities for the rich exchange of knowledge and experience, and invite all WFCMS members, researchers and educators engaged in the authentication of traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese herbal medicine industry members and stakeholders, and Chinese Medicine practitioners to join us at this important conference.
To further enrich your experience, held concurrently will be the 2nd U.S. Summit on the International Development of Chinese Medicine, the World Famous Chinese Medicines Exhibition, and the Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine’s Overseas Students Inaugural Class Graduation Ceremony.
All of these events have been united under the Conference of the Specialty Committee of TCM Pharmacognosy 2018 (“CTP 2018”) banner.
